BC PharmaCare helps British Columbians with the cost of eligible prescription drugs and designated medical supplies. One of the most comprehensive drug programs in Canada, it provides reasonable access to drug therapy through seven drug plans. The largest is the income-based Fair PharmaCare plan.

Dial-A-Dietitian is operated by HealthLines Services BC as part of an evolving tele-health care platform that provides multi-disciplined comprehensive self-care and health system navigation services to British Columbians and health care professionals.

Seniors Canada On-line provides single-window access to Web-based information and HEALTH services that are relevant to seniors 55+, their families, caregivers and supporting service organizations.

Each year in BC, hundreds of people die from influenza or complications from influenza, such as pneumonia. Influenza in people 65 years of age and older, and in other high risk groups, can lead to more serious health concerns. Free Influenza shots are available to seniors 65+ at the White Rock Public Health Unit and it is advised that you get immunized every year to protect yourself from new viruses.
